- Tensilica’s Xtensa microprocessors
- Intel’s processors for wireless devices
- Freescale's PowerPC and PowerQuicc processors

- MontaVista, which has released Mobilinux, the first version of its Linux operating system specifically designed and optimized for mobile phones and wireless devices.
